DCC Digital Modernization & Adoption Plan (DMAP)

Up to $15,000 for a digital adoption roadmap — 50% reimbursed, Ontario only

$15K
for digital planning

Overview

$15,000 to map your digital transformation — before you spend a dollar on technology

DMAP funds the planning phase of digital adoption. Ontario SMEs get up to 50% of costs reimbursed (max $15,000) to hire consultants who assess their operations and produce a technology adoption roadmap.

This is the front door to Ontario's digital modernization stack. Companies that complete DMAP become eligible for the Technology Demonstration Program (TDP), which provides $100K–$150K to actually implement the plan. DMAP is the ticket to TDP.

The program targets companies that know they need to modernize but don't know where to start. If you're running operations on spreadsheets, manually tracking inventory, or using disconnected systems — DMAP pays for someone to tell you exactly what to fix and in what order.

Common Mistakes

01

Treating DMAP as the end goal

DMAP is step one. The real value is using the completed plan to unlock TDP ($100K–$150K implementation funding). Don't stop at the roadmap.

02

Hiring before approval

Start the consulting engagement only after DCC approves your application. Costs incurred before approval are not reimbursable.

03

Vague project scope

DCC wants a specific scope — not 'assess everything.' Define which operations you want modernized (inventory, scheduling, CRM, etc.) before applying.

Key Deadlines

Intake

Rolling (Ontario fiscal year)

Apply anytime. Budget is allocated annually — earlier applications have more funding available.
